Our breeding experience and how it began

Our Experience With Dachshunds
Our involvement with Dachshunds began in 2020, initially through our own experience with the breed before developing into a dedicated breeding programme. Over the years, we have gained practical experience in raising litters, monitoring puppy development, understanding different coat types and temperaments, and preparing young Dachshunds for life beyond our care. What began as a genuine appreciation for the breed has developed into a structured breeding programme built around experience, careful selection and a long-term commitment to producing well-prepared companions.

How our breeding programme has developed

Breeding responsibly is an ongoing learning process, and our programme has developed through experience with each generation of Dachshunds. We continually refine how we approach health preparation, early development, socialisation, nutrition and puppy placement while keeping the individual needs of each litter in focus. Our work is also informed by an understanding of the breed’s recognised characteristics and varieties, including the smooth-haired, long-haired and wire-haired Dachshund described in the FCI Dachshund breed standard⁠. Rather than measuring our experience simply by the number of litters produced, we value the knowledge gained from raising each generation and use it to make better-informed breeding and puppy-care decisions over time.

Before joining their forever families, every puppy receives thorough health examinations and the preventative care appropriate for their age. Giving each puppy the strongest possible start is one of the greatest responsibilities we have as breeders.
