Your New best friend is waiting

As responsible Breeders, our priority is never simply finding a home for our puppies, it is finding the right home. Our adoption process is designed to be simple, transparent, and centered around the wellbeing of every puppy.

Our Dachshund adoption process

Finding the right Dachshund Puppy:

Every family is different, which is why choosing a puppy should never be based on appearance alone. We encourage prospective owners to take time to learn about the breed, compare coat types, and consider which puppy best suits their expectations and life style.

Our Available puppies page introduces puppies currently looking for homes, while our Upcoming litter page allows families to plan ahead if they are searching for a future companion. If you are still deciding between a Long-haired or smooth Haired Dachshund, our Comparison guide helps understand the difference before making a decision.

Puppy Reservation:

Once you have selected your puppy, You can begin the process by contacting us. A reservation deposit is required to hold the puppy until it is ready to leave for its new home. This prevents multiple enquiries from being accepted for the same puppy and allows us to begin preparing the adoption documentation.

Once the reservation is complete, your puppy is marked as Reserved, and we begin preparing them for their future home. During this time, we keep families updated with photographs and progress to anticipate you for your new companion

Documentation and Health Preparation:

Before leaving for their new families, every puppy receives appropriate health preparations for its age. We work closely with our veterinarian to ensure each puppy is healthy and ready for its transition.

Depending on the puppy's age, preparations may include:
. A full veterinary health examination
. Age appropriate vaccinations
. Microchip identification
. Routine parasite prevention
. General health assessment before departure

Our complete Health Guide explains these health preparations in greater detail and why they are an important part of responsible breeding

What you will receive alongside your puppy:

Every Dachshund puppy leaves with more than just health checks. We want each family to feel fully prepared from the very first day, which is why every puppy is accompanied by important documentation and familiar items to help with the transition into their new home.

Your puppy will normally leave with ;

. Pedigree documentation (Where applicable)
. starter supply of the current puppy food
. A familiar blanket carrying the scent of the litter
. A favorite toy for comfort and a crate
. Feeding and care information
. Lifetime breeder guidance and support
. Adoption Certificate

Preparing your Puppy's Arrival

Before your Dachshund arrives, we recommend preparing a quiet and comfortable space where your puppy can settle in during the first few days. Having food, water bowls, bedding, toys, and other essentials ready helps make the transition smoother and allows your puppy to begin feeling secure from the moment they arrive.

If this is your first Dachshund, our Complete puppy guide explains everything you need to prepare your home, understand your puppy's first weeks, and build a confident start together

Lifetime Support Beyond Adoption:

Bringing your puppy home is not the end of our relationship, its the beginning of yours with your new companion. We remain available to offer guidance and answer questions as your Dachshund grows, whether you need advice on feeding, training, grooming, or general puppy care.

Our aim is to give every puppy the best possible start and support families with honest advice whenever it is needed. Responsible breeding extends beyond the day a puppy leaves; it is an ongoing commitment to the wellbeing of both our puppies and the families who welcome them.
